2020, here you are
Things aren’t as we expected so far
Situations are bad
People are sad

Quarantined this summer
Things are such a bummer
Virus is everywhere
All we have to do is prepare          

Why is this happening
Why does it seem like the world is ending
Was all this planned
To make us all understand

After all, 2020 is the perfect vision.

After everything, I realized
That we’re all doing what we’re advised
The health that we fail to care for
Are now treasured ever more

Nature that we used to ignore
Gets interesting to explore
Families that aren’t close
Now spend time with each other most

This situation is a lesson
For our bad habits to lessen
To learn is now our mission
After all, 2020 is the perfect vision
